My Opinion
I think that media has freedom but it does not have the freedom that it deserves. for example in the post election violence the government went completly against what the constitution stated and deprieved the media from accessing the latest news. Also this youtube video http:www.youtube.com/watch?v=851rDrUTHEQ discusses how the government did not like what TV stations and radio stations were broadcating about the government actions and how the members of parliament refuse to pay taxes. They also blame the government for taking away there freedom and contol everything they do. That brings suspitions that the government may be bribing the media to keep secrets from the public.

Can the media be objective? (international)
George Bush declared war with Iran because of 9/11 bombings. Since Aljazeera is an Iranian and middle eastern news station and CNN is an American news station they always put opposite news. CNN would make Iran look bad and Aljazeera would make America look bad. In a documentary this man from Iran was interviewed about the war and they asked him 'what do you think about the war?' and he replied 'America started it' then they asked him 'Why do you think that?' the man finally replied 'I don't know....because the media said'.
Is the constitution keeping its promise?
In the post election no news stations, radio stations, newspapers, magazine journalists were allowed to go near the parliament meetings. Except the TV station KBC which is owned by the government.
What the constitution says:
The constitution says that the freedom of media is guaranteed and the state shall not interfere with any person engaged in broadcasting. It also mentions that the state will not penalise any person for any opinion or view.
